Cora learned the value of a quality education early on and has earned the following degrees:
- Undergrad - B.A. from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri
- Law School - J.D. and Health Law Certificate from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri
- Grad School - M.P.H. from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri
Cora is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and has worked extensively in the area of public health and public policy over the past 5 years. She has earned a reputation for being an authority on issues related to health law and policy and has worked with a broad coalition of stakeholders across Missouri who are dedicated to ensuring affordable, quality health care for all.
Community service and involvement is a way of life for Cora and she serves on numerous non-profit boards. She is particularly motivated to fight for justice in the areas of early childhood health, education and development, as well as women’s issues, criminal justice and the economy.
Cora is the youngest daughter of a disabled veteran and a public school teacher and provides a wealth of support for her immediate and extended family.
She is married to a supportive husband, Tim, who appreciates her passion and drive for public service and the two live in Ferguson, Missouri, with their three dogs, Rocket, Mickey, and Bennie.
